In a world of overwhelming influences, words cannot express how truly grateful I am as a mother for Rachel Blessing and Plymouth Forest Montessori.
We were prepared to move or drive a much longer distance to ensure that our son received a good education free of pointless screen time and inattentive teachers.
After his first day at PFM my son was happy, more communicative, and exhibiting more thoughtful behavior. It was really apparent that the change in environment and experience really influenced him.
Rachel actually speaks to the children, makes eye contact, and helps them learn appropriate social skills.
We have toured a few schools/daycares and no other teacher was as present, thoughtful, and knowledgeable as Rachel. In the brief time I have known her she has influenced me in such a positive way as a mother.
Supporting Plymouth Forest Montessori is supporting a happier, healthier, and more conscious educational experience for Plymouth and Sheboygan County families with young children.

My wife and I were thrilled when we first heard there was a Montessori school opening near us. Since our son was born we had wanted to send him to one. When we expressed interest, Ms. Rachel met with our family and made us feel comfortable right away. We really love the merging with nature at this school. Our son is benefiting immensely from being outside in the wonderful Camp Anokijig area. We are so excited to watch our son grow and appreciate nature at Plymouth Forest Montessori.

To whom it may concern -
I am writing this testimonial regarding the Plymouth Forest Montessori School.
In 2022, my husband and I had to move from the farmhouse we were renting from my former employer, due to its sale. We purchased our home in Kiel, with absolutely no intention of remaining here. We had always planned to uproot our lives and move over by Viroqua.. only to send our daughter to the Waldorf School they have. Unfortunately, those dreams have since died, but we are ecstatic there is an alternative offering here, now.
My daughter has attended PFMS since its beginning. I will never forget driving down Fremont Street, and seeing the little sign in someone's yard. At first, I thought, "Finally. Someone did it." Then, it became, "Well, maybe my child can attend, too."
I called, with little hope I'd be able to afford such an endeavor. Granted, it has been a slight struggle with the added expense, but I will be the first to tell you that I would do it all over again, had the district not picked it up. I would've also done it for my second child, three years from now.
For over ten years, I was a produce farmer. I have worked with a lot of kids in my time. Let me tell you, there is a noticeable difference between the "alternatively educated" children, and the conventional.
I want my children to be the capable ones. The ones with common sense, self awareness, and confidence to go out into the world and contribute in a constructive manner. I want children that can live off the land, if needed. Ones that understand everything isn't convenient, and some things take work. Kids that see things are lacking, and create. I want the ones who are able to think critically, and solve their own problems. I believe these are all skills this school teaches.
This school is good for our community. Children don't get outside enough, as it is, with the direction the world has taken. Especially the city-kids.
My daughter has absolutely blossomed since she started attending school at PFMS. She is forming basic life skills at 3/4 years old that most kids don't have until 7+. She speaks clearly, and has gained so much independence, empathy, and confidence.
I want nothing more in this world, than for her to have the most solid base she can for her pre-teen and teenage years. I believe this school, ran by Rachel and Sarah, can and will do that. The amount of confidence I hold in them as educators and mentors is immeasurable. They took nothing and made it something, and I think that's far more than what most people are willing to do.
